Many people are looking for ways to support themselves in a holistic positive way, so they can sustain their energy throughout periods of work, and connect with their team in a healthy way. If you are in the entertainment industry in particular, you know how demanding your work can be on your heart, body, mind, and soul. Rie is happy to see the entertainment industry shifting to recognize that our emotional, physical, and psychological needs cannot simply be left at the door when we show up for our work. Rie has been in the self care industry for 20 years, and excited for these changes.

Rie believes taking care of your body should be included as a first-line item in all productions, and has supported executives in every industry. Particularly creative industries, but not limited to them. She will provide you with guidance and self care practices you can do on your own or with your team. Read below for some of the ways she can support you.

Whether you are in need of self-care rituals to do during production, strength training for stamina, flexibility and better mobility for sustaining long days of leading your project, hands-on healing massage for stress management, Rie can support you.

your body care

Wherever your filming or project location is, Rie will resource the best organic nutrition, local farmer’s markets, and wellbeing resources for you. From resourcing the freshest seasonal fruits, vegetables, organic meats and supplements, to safe spaces for exploring nature, to locating health practioners in your area to work with you (accupuncture, massage, etc.) while you are away from home. You are in good hands with Rie on your side.

Rie is certified yoga and qi gong teacher, and through these practices has developed her own relationship with mindfulness and meditation. Rie can create and guide you through custom meditations from a range of traditions and modalities, to support you, your artists and team’s unique needs.

“I had finally figured out that the physical toll of directing was one of the hardest parts for me, so as I prepped for Kajillionaire with all the other departments I also prepped myself with Rie — stretching and building strength, learning about my particular body, devising exercises to do on set (which I did do) and coming up with nutrient-dense foods I could be constantly eating as I burned massive amounts of energy.

At the end of each shoot week I did a 90 minute bodywork bodywork session with Rie and these were always profound (and felt realllly good.) Laying under her hands on the soft, heated table, inhaling the most incredible aromatherapy, my nervous system was able to let go of that week’s anxieties and begin fresh, again and again.

At the end of shoot I felt...great. For the first time I had not lost massive amounts of weight or ravaged myself with tension; in fact I was ready to begin a completely new relationship with my body — it’s been three years now and that’s stuck. I just rolled out my feet with the same little yoga balls I got from Rie, first pressing down hard with my heel the way she taught me”.
